Auto re-add "missed out" subscribers to the waitlist for the next restock

We run small, throttled restock batches (10 notifications/hour, FIFO, per-size). Because stock is limited, a portion of notified subscribers don't manage to buy before the variant sells out again.

Today those subscribers are treated as "notified" and drop off the waitlist. The Quick Resubscribe option helps a bit, but it only works if the customer clicks back through to the product page and submits the form again. Most people who missed out never do that, so we lose them.

What we'd like: an option so subscribers who were notified but did not purchase are automatically kept on (or re-added to) the waitlist for the next restock of that variant, no customer action needed. Ideally preserving their original FIFO queue position, so the people who've been waiting longest stay at the front.

This is core to how throttled / limited-stock restocks work, and right now there's no clean way to honour "first come, first served" across multiple restock waves without manually rebuilding the list elsewhere.

Is this on the roadmap, or possible to configure today?
